2AM

2AM is not for the lovers with their arms wrapped around each other.

2AM is for the lonely
2AM is for the cat ladies and the moonlight bench sitters and those admiring the clean sheets.
2AM is for the little sister sitting at the light under big brother's door crack waiting to be let in.

2AM is for the cold side of the bed.
2AM is for the missed hints
                   the try hards
                   the led on
those who's door pounds turn to floor pounds
                   who's kiss-me-hard-before-you-goes
turn to sleeping silently once he goes

2AM is for the sunken ships in the bath tub
the sinking lips in the bath tub
the lover's trips spent in the...

DRIVE THROUGH because neither of you could decide where to eat and sometimes that is the breaking point.

So lay down, love, on the cold side of the bed beside me and drape over me the foreign of 3AM because 2AM has been for me far too long.

3AM is for the lovers with their arms wrapped around each other.

  2. Ahh there was too much of this I liked. The ending. "So lay down, love, on the cold side of the bed beside me and drape me over the foreign of 3AM because 2AM has been for me far too long."The drive through, the sunken ships and sinking lips....

    1. Probably, but I don't think anyone's gonna rat. Not when they can read things like this.

  6. The ending lingers for a long while, it's impeccable. And your blog background, I love it so so much.

  7. When you wrote the first line on Hey Miss Carter I was DEFFF hoping you would expand. And here you are. You did it. And it was beyond anything in my wildest dreams. Unbelievable. YOu've done it again (Even though you do it every time, I will continue to be amazed by you)
